Jörg Nicht is a professional photographer from Berlin and one of Germany’s most prominent on Instagram. After completing a degree in social sciences as well as a doctorate and research fellowship at the Free University of Berlin, he achieved his childhood dream of becoming a photographer. He currently works with international brands such as Nokia, Sennheiser, Jaguar, BMW, and more, in the tourism, technology, and automotive industries.

His greatest passion is urban photography, which he uses as a gateway into sociological investigation. Observation forms an essential part of his creative process, from the perspective of a wanderer with no fixed destination. He quickly discovered that his smartphone photos had great artistic potential, and that as a photographer, the portability of the device allowed him to fully immerse himself in his surroundings in order to capture the reality of the hustle and bustle in his images.
